New Year’s resolutions don’t have to start on 1st January. If you didn’t make any, or have broken them already, you could make some resolutions for when you use first your caravan this year.
If you are trying to cut down on sugar or alcohol, stop smoking or get more exercise why not do these things whilst at your caravan? Sticking to new healthy habits is not easy but if you do them whilst you are relaxed and rested away from home you may be more likely to incorporate them into your life.
When you return to your caravan for the first time in 2016 remember your resolutions. Take healthy food and leave the booze at home. If you got a new juicer or smoothie maker for Christmas and it’s already in danger of being consigned to the back of a kitchen cupboard, take it with you to your caravan and use it there. Grab some extra fruit and vegetables when you shop for your time away and experiment with smoothies and juices for breakfast.
At home we’re busy and we often don’t have much time to enjoy planning and preparing healthy food, but when you are away get your cookbooks out and you can make mealtimes into another fun activity you all do together.
Using the free time at your caravan to get active can also be de-stressing and invigorating. Pack walking boots, swimming gear and maybe one of the new celebrity fitness DVDs. Ask others to do the activities with you so you encourage and support each other to keep it up. Or if you need help with motivation sign up for a charity walk or run later in the year and get in training around your Park.
If you want something less strenuous try taking up a new hobby like landscape painting, fishing or cross stitching. Or for an easy buy one of those new mindfulness colouring books and join in with the kids!
And when you’ve had a busy day doing all your new activities, relax in the evening with a card or board game with the family or just pick a comedy film suitable for all and enjoy it together.
Getting active and eating well in 2016 may seem a bit daunting but just committing to these resolutions when you are away in your static caravan can be easily achieved. Give it a go and by the summer you could be feeling happier and healthier.
But if your New Year’s resolution is to travel the world or redecorate your home and you won’t have time to visit your caravan you may want to sell your caravan.
Luckily our New Year’s resolution is to buy more static caravans from owners like you, so get in touch with us for a stress free experience – we will buy your static caravan for the best price.
